I think talking people into using v7 on their Windows pcs would help. It seems to automatically use graphic cards which would help quite a bit.

Shouldn't install on your work computer without permission if you don't own it...

It's your choice, but from the FAQ:
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-main#ntoc9

I'm not trying to discourage you from folding, we appreciate the help. It's just a risk you are taking (and there's a moral consideration, but I'm sure you've thought through that).

I was folding a long time on multiple machines but they changed the electric and the tier rates and my electric bill was getting to over $180. Now that I've quit folding, my bill is around $100 a month.

Welcome to California.

This is where you need to look at efficency.

A a gold psu, a low power cpu do wonders.

the 4ps are drawing 500W for 300k ppd
a 2600k and 560ti are drawing 350-400W for about 50k ppd

You just need to tailor your foldintg for your power situation.

I personally don't gpu fold anymore, 220W for 15k ppd isn't power smart, especvially with a temp of 80C when its 31C outside.

Yea GPU folding isn't power efficient, and IMO can shorten it's life by a lot relative to CPU folding. Out of me and my two brothers I go through the most video cards easy, lol. But I've got two full cover water blocks on them now (GTX 570 x2 @ 900mhz) so they stay around 46-50C folding, with the capacitors screeching at me. I think that's what makes that noise.. 4p is by far the best but it's hard to make one that's not above $2,000

does 6 hours for project 8020 sound right for my gtx570?
estimated ppd is 23k
and my 2600k is only pulling 14k, does that seem right

No it's not, the 2600k is way under.

you need to firstly show your f@h settings, V7 or v6.34?

You should be running 30+k ppd on it.
