This is the server stats page. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html
I don't know anything about GPU folding. You can try posting in the Stanford Folding forum, or search there. |

Tested it on my home pc for about an hour last night... both my 5870's were folding find and pumping out a lot of heat, but the CPU just sat on 'Running' @ 0.0% for the entire hour. Very odd, this folding business seems to be a bit flakey!
Anywho, will maintain my folding on my work pc. |

I think because it's a quattro you need to mcgyver it... Though ideantical to a geforce, the codes are different so it doesn't not get started right.

Both 5870's in my home PC (see sig) are folding great but my CPU refuses to do anything. I did notice my CPU utilization is at 100% when it is folding yet its workload never moves from 0.0%, no errors in the log either

If your CPU utilization is at 100% then I'm almost positive your folding. But the program reading 0% (Folding Client saying this right?) means it's not reading your log files. I've personally had installations with the version 6.xx client where it puts the log files and all that stuff in the main folder it resides in, not the sub folder you installed it in. So maybe it's looking in the wrong folder. |

The log file seems to be updated with entries with the correct date / time so it is updating leading me to believe the client is looking in the right place, it just seems to stay @ 0.00%. Very odd. |

ATI video cards require most of a full cpu core each to feed data to the card. What happens when you mix an ATI card and a smp slot is the core feeding the video card data brings the smp client to a near stop. All the smp threads need to stay synched with each other so when one core is used by the video card it can't do its share of the smp unit and delays all of the smp threads.
To change the threads used by smp in V7, in expert mode hit configure and go to the slots tab, click smp and then edit, then set cpus to 2 or 4 less than what you have. Not sure what the best setting is for hyperthreaded cpus but i know the ati cards like a full real core each to keep them running full speed. You can try 2 less or 4 less than what you have and see what gives the best frame times. I've never had to play with it as I use nvidia and they use very little cpu power to keep the card running.
