I have to leave the windows open in the window with the heat off in my room... unfortunately it's on the top floor so I simply have to let the excess heat outside.

I've been thinking about instead of a third 4p setup, I'll spend the money on water blocks. Also my brothers getting water cooling for a set up close to what I have (the i7 one). I think I might vent the radiators into the intake duct on my air system. I have no idea how much it would actually contribute, but that's not the point. When I get a stupid idea I just have to build it.

The heat still has to go somewhere, but maybe you are putting the radiator outside.
That would be an interesting project for the Winter although it wouldn't work so well in the heat of summer.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Even in the summer, at least I wouldn't be fighting the air conditioning. I think it would perform well enough. I'd have to get some sort of outdoor water to air radiator with a real fan on it. 120mm fans wouldn't do too good with 3 foot of snow on them.

I've had the idea of simply running ventilation to/from my pc to/from the outside. I just don't have a way to execute it out.
Putting the radiator outside sounds like an even easier idea... too bad I don't have water cooling

I thought about building a more detailed input/exhaust to the window or vent out through the roof or into the garage. My office has two windows. When it was too hot, I kept the door closed and put a box fan in the window of one sucking the air out/in with a smaller fan blowing on the computers. That worked pretty well.

That's what I do too... I also have a furnace filter to reduce dust/pollen coming in via the intake window (fan is on exhaust in the other window). It just means the outside/inside air have to be the same temp in the summer. I couldn't really use an A/C at this point anyway due to the power draw of the PC when folding.

Jim... You only have 1,095 work units complete with a total of 77,428,724 points?
That's impressive man. First I noticed that!

Thanks, it took me a while to get used to it after scoring about 1M points a month with 9 computers. I wish the 6903 and 4s would show back up. Those were good for about 1/2 more ppd.

I've been putting out 10-22K less than my average for two weeks and I've done nothing on my end to cause this. The last two days my points have increased to expected levels. Probably due to a change in work unit types I've been assigned. No errors reported in the logs that I've seen. Just go with the flow, you get fast and slow units.

I remember when I thought it was bad when I folded/boinc'ed then I got into mining.
