9700 Pro vs 9700 Sapphire

Well, I finally decided on buying a Radeon 9700, but just wondering if it was worth the extra $$$ on buying the Pro version other than the regular 9700 (Sapphire). Both are the same GPU, same level of RAM but I understand different manufacturer of RAM for the Pro?

Just looking for some feedback if anyone has owned one of these cards?

I forget but I think they chopped off some pipelines on the 9700. I never worried about it because I'm not in the market any more. But the performance difference can be found if you go to www.futuremark.com and search the projects there for stock 9700's and stock 9700 pros and see what the score difference is.

A 9700 PRO is faster then a 9700, weather it is sapphire or some other brand of radeon. Sapphire also makes a 9700 PRO if your set on getting a sapphire. You do the math: VGA CHARTS

no 9700 has the same 8 pipelines, just lower clock speeds and you have to flash the BIOS to OC it
