SLK-800 And ABIT NF7-S Revision 2.0

Are the stand offs included with the heat sink?

I guess the heat sink is attached with stand offs, similiar to what you use for a motherboard. However, you need a special stand off for the ABIT revision 2.0.

Checked the manufacturers website, and it says you need a custom stand off, it just doesn't say if they're included in a standard package. Was hoping someone else was using this. I plan to mount a Thermaltake smart fan 2 on it.

Yeah, SLK-800U from Thermalright.. I don't care how much it costs, I just want the best heat sink for overclocking. Newegg is out of swiftec's.

Doesn't look like it has them. Can I put the smart fan 2 on a swiftec? The pin design seems effective.

Yes, I see them, but the revision 2 requires custom stand offs or else you will damage the board, trying to install them. Check www.thermalright.com.. It's an issue with even the 900.

Although they have it listed for the 800 and 800U, I believe the 800 just clips on with no stand offs.. And that will suffice for me. Thanks.

If u want the custom standoffs call or email thermalright. They send them to u, but ask to put 'em in some bubble wrap, mine came in a normal envelope with 7 out of 12 (for 3 SLKs) missing.

A.

BTW they are not only for 2.0!!!!
