They're the same I believe. I think sapphire makes all of ATI's cards. Which is why sapphires cards tend to look like ATI's.

Ok, I have a Sapphire 9700NP. Make sure you get 2.8ns, also don't worry about that softmodding crap for 9700's since that stuff doesn't need to be enabled since it already is . Mine pretty much looks like an ATi card since it has a red PCB and such. I'm gonna flash it soon to see if I can get any higher. If you want the power of a 9800Pro just overclock to 380/340. Also got mine for $326CDN in Ontario.

What does "ns" mean in "2.8ms"? And your saying that all 9700np cards are softmoddable to 9800 performance? You got your Sapphire 9700np @ 326$?? Where? Thats a pretty deacent price.

anyway when i softmodded my raddy and benched with 2k3 there wasnt any major increase in the scores but maybe its because it was alreasy OCed when i softmodded it.

they dont need to be softmodded, the newest drivers (catalyst 3.4) already contains 9800 Pro driver paths for the 9700 cards.

ns = nanosecond, the lower it is, the faster than ram can go.
