my 9700np is the same exact card is the pro the difference is clocks that goes for a ti4200 vs. ti4600 same arch. only diff is core/mem speeds. 3dmark is all about
cpu
memory timings low=better
fsb higher=better
dual channel
then vc locks and last

"SKILL"
and I got the skill

first Id start with low timings sandra doesn't always equal real world speed just becasue the benchmark is higher.. you should be at 19-20k with clocks at 410/350 and your setup. BTW is that a canterwood?

Cool,it sometimes depends what brand pro you get from what i've heard.I have the basic built by ati,at first it would only do 350/350 but if i lowered the memory the core would do 380,so it just depends, keeps us posted on what you do with it.

yeh, i'm gettin the the all ati one, I dont really care if it doesn OC well cause i'm upgrading from a voodoo3 16mb, adn the best graphics i've ever seen on a computer was a ti4600 and an ati 8500, so i'm sute i'll soil myself with it un-OCed.

True,it sounds funny but my whole comp is faster since i put it in,it boots up qiute a bit faster, than it did with my old geforce 4 mx440 64MB card,I'm still working out some bugs, but i love it.I just got 18,221 on 3dmark.Cheers

On my 9700pro, I get about 383/348 on air (stock ATI cooling)with about 30c ambient. I am getting a Zalman or Tt Giant II Heatpipe by Thursday, so I hope I can increase the core a bit, and then get some small copper ramsinks to increase the mem a few. Ill test out both heatpipes and see which one is better cooling (im thinking Zalman, since I wont be passively cooling it anyway, without extra fans the Tt may be slightly better since it has a fan on it anyway).

Ok, maby this is a stupid question, but I will ask ik anyway

EMO, how can you messure your temps of your card?

I have my 9700np running @ 335/301. Should I OC even more?

And the last thing: I'm getting myself some small memorysinks, and a this cooler in stead of the standard: Titan TTC-CUV2AB, here are the specs of the cooler:
- 56 x 56 x 24 mm.
- 1,56 Watt
- 4500 RPM.
- 17,4 m³/h / 10,3 CFM
- 28 dBA
would this help OC'ing my 9700np furder?

Copper is always better, and yes if done right you should be able to get to about 400 core with that setup, using as3 and making good contact.just my 2 bits.
