Radeon 9600 Pro zero display service error

I'm getting a "zero display service error" everytime I install the drivers for my Radeon 9600 Pro. It's installed in:

ASUS A7V8X motherboard
768 DDR 333
Windows XP Pro

I just got the card yesterday, and haven't had the opportunity to play many games with it. Hell, it's freezing my system when I'm on AOL.

Anybody have any ideas what the problem is?

i had problems with mine too. put your old card back in and make sure all is ok. get back online and download the ati drivers that were released yesterday. install these on your machine, but just leave them alone. uninstall your old card and shut down. install the 9600 and reboot. use the new drivers and get rid of the ones that came on the cd. that solved my problems.
