Unhappy Disappointed by DOOM III Release date...RADEON 9800 Pro get old :-(

I thought I could play this game (or at least some sort of beta demo) with my current RADEON 9800 Pro. Now that I hear the game is going to be released next year, there is no point even arguing over 9800 Pro vs. FX 5900 Ultra.

Whats really funny though is that id is optimizing the game with a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra in mind. So all you Radeon owners are SOL. He he he he.

Doom3 will work just fine on a R9800pro. Just because it's optimized for nVidia cards doesn't mean it's unplayable on Radeon cards. Hell, almost all new games are nVidia optimized...

I don't like how companies optimize games. I like ut2k3, but I can't run my overclock as high on it.

For a pc to run well, all the parts have to work together. Can't we do the same? Can't we...?

Doom 3 will run just fine on 9200 or 9500.

Doom3 is NOT a big deal.

You need alot of ram.

Yeah, i played the Alpha demo for Doom 3 reasently. 1) Its graphic are WAY better then HL2. 2) It is worth waiting fro and spending hundreds on video, and of course sound. Even in alpha form the sound is enuf to make you stop dead in your tracks and not move b.c your too afraid to find out whats around the cornor, and i am not exaggerating one bit.

Little do you know that they are using the SAME GRAPHICS ENGINE for Condition Zero as the original Counter-Strike..... So, the graphics are going to look like crap STILL. And mind you, CZ has no multiplayer.

omfg, graphics both are fine, really don't care that much but yeah maybe doom3 gfx is better looking but gameplay prolly sh!tty compare to cs. I like how CS guns are REAL and they exists in real life. CS tries to make the guns and the impact of the gun as real as possible so i like that, not some rocket launcher or laser crap on doom3 what not.

Anyway, by the time D3 out, WoW will be out so i'll be on it anyway. To me WoW owns D3
