rivatuner

how come riva tuner won't let me raise my evga 5900 clock speed past 450?

I haven't figured that out either so I use coolbits.
You can get coolbits registry hack here
CoolBits Please note I take no responsibility if this screws up your computer, it worked fine for mine however.

Then you just adjust it in the display properties and it works fine.

i have coolbits too, and i used to use it but i use rivatuner cuz i can tweak out other stuff like from chongs guide. could i up the speed of my vc using coolbits but still use rivatuner?

yea thats what I do. The 5900's when running 2D applications only run at 300MHz so to change the 3d settings you pretty much have to use CoolBits.

oh yeah, that was another question i had...when using coolbits, and under the clock frequencies tab, there is an option for me to set it to either standard (2d) or performance (3d). when i set it to performance my clock frequencies go higher. which one should i use and what are the differences between them?

umm coolbits is screwing up on me...it won't let me set my frequencies any higher cuz it keeps failing the test

Really I used it to get mine to 540. I would mainly use it for the Mem though.
