Question DFI LANPARTY LT or UT

Was thinking about the DK version but got tempted (because of Almost Tactf thx a lott man, there goes my bank-account ) for the:

LANPARTY LT P35-T2R

LANPARTY UT P35-T2R

Been staring at the specs and pics but can't seem to figure out what the differances between these 2 MB's are (apart from the pricetags i mean )

Or should i wait for the P45? Not going to change for ddr3 though... so not really worth it then so i've read... Will be running a Q9450 as soon as Belgium gets some by Intel

Make you a deal?
I get the LT and you send me the cooling comming from your UT?
Would compensate for you getting me started even concidering these boards

Well want to stick with my Zalman 9700 for now (budget) but was thinking about the IFX-14 for crazy cooling later this year... really stuck now and no more idea what to get!

My E6300 and MSI P35 will go into another case with the stock intel cooler supplied with the Q9450 this rig will end up in my kids room for gaming and such. He's only 6 so no heavy gaming so far. Rig will do nicely even for school stuff. Wish I've started that young

Not planning on sli or crosfire... so no need for the X models. Will be P35 or maybe P45
Love the looks and cooling on the DFI UT, but not sure after reading results on the MSI P35 Platinum

Maybe you can fire it up with a blowtorch for now? best test there is for the cooling

I hit 3.4gHz on my Q6600 on the first shot with the UT, I decided (pulled the settings out of my a**) to give a 378*9 and 1.4v on the CPU and left everything else stock....so far it's 7 hours Prime 95 stable and still has yet to break 51,51,48,48 DFI UT FTW

LT FTW! Throw some aftermarket cooling on the NB and you are all set. Alot of people have shown that the "transpiper" does little more than extend your epeen. In some instances, it has raised the temp of the NB. Looks cool but doesnt equate to performance at all.

The P35 version of the board overclocks as high or higher than the X38/X48 version. The P45 version may not be worth all the hassle if you are not running anything more than DDR2 and a Q9450+ setup.

Well you're not the only one waiting here... the Q9450 was planned for last month, maybe the beginning of this month. Suppliers still can't give me an answer when it will finally arrive. Seems Europe is last on the list

Anyway, gives me more time to think about what Mobo I'll get... pita

Been reading a review on OCing those DFI's... seems you got so many settings that you can change you really have to be a wizzard to get it right?!
I'n mot a OC newbee, but what i've read there is really Chinese to me! Is it true or do they just want to scare me? Maybe it's a good one to read since you are OC'ing it right now!

Great man! Thx! First time DFI'er here you know. So this helps a lot!

Mind breaking is over now... just ordered the LT P35 in Germany (only place near Belgium that got it) way to expensive compared to US price... bet hey... thats the pita here in europe if you want something out of the ordenary.

Now just waiting for the Q9450 to arrive and the girlfriend will get on my nerves again soon

So next rig will be:
ANTEC 900
DFI LANPARTY LT P35 with stock coolers to start with
Q9450 with Lapped Zalman 9700 Led
CORSAIR DOMINATOR QUAD2X 8500C5DF DDR2 4096MB CL5 + COOLER
NX8800GT with Zalman VF1000 Led

No worries I sometimes shop in germany for same reason , lack of stock elsewhere , I'm tempted by this at the minute DFI LANparty UT X48-T3RS due on the 29th. Not sure wether to go for that or wait on P45 next month . I'm running with this Gigabyte GA X48T DQ6 Living Review It's a good board , but ........ you know how it gets

anyways luck with your Q9450

DFI boards are great. This is my first board to overclock (the one in sig) and I had no problems...but I love tinkering with crap, and reading all the info I can find on it too.

Also, keep an eye out for the xeon x3350, it is the same thing as the q9450 and was available in the states before the q9450, and at a cheaper price. I think the notoriety and popularity of the q9450 is driving the price up. Many don't know about the x3350, and it is just as good, i would get whichever you can find.

peace
