Asus Speeding HDD Worth It?

Just wondering if the Asus Speeding HDD makes that much of a difference? What are your thoughts and opinions. Thanks.

Right from the Asus page.

Speeding HDD
"Speeding HDD lets gamer experience almost twice the hard disks data accessing performance without complicated setting procedures! No more waiting for game loads, and get in the action faster!"

There's 6 sata ports on this board (Maximus II Formula)with an additional 2 that support the Speeding HDD for a total of 8. When you plug in 2 identical drives into the Speeding HDD ports and enable it in the bios, you are supposed to gain performance.

Looks like software RAID0. Check if they talk about anything like, losing data or data corruption when hard shutdown (power failure). Id prefer going with hardware RAID0 rather than going with a weird software solution like that.

Currently I'm running Intel RAID on my setup, and have Speeding HDD on Auto, all though its not using it since I'm only using an IDE Drive, not add-on SATA.
