Google Unveils Nexus7 a 7" Tablet running Jelly Bean Android 4.1 $199
The lack of an option for a 3G/4G version stinks but it should make for a nice tablet. I'd like to see how an NFC tablet would work out for payments. That's a bit odd IMHO. Google unveiled its own Nexus tablet, the Nexus 7, at the Google I/O conference Wednesday in San Francisco. The 7-inch tablet running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will have a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor as well as a 1280x800 IPS display with a 178-degree viewing angle. With that kind of specs and price point, it's actually tempting.
HUM. EDIT: Jelly beans? I thought 4.x were ICS? |

https://play.google.com/store/device...id=nexus_7_8gb Looks like you can buy it now and it'll ship in 2-3 weeks.
Early reviews are that the hardware is good but it "feels" cheap. |

Don't know. Don't care. My contract expires in a month and I might not be getting it. I like the 2.2 interface better.

That's pretty sweet for a tablet. Reasonable resolution for a 7" display. Would make an excellent eReader/tablet combo, although I think the Nook SimpleTouch w/glowlight is the best eReader concept out right now.
