I mean.... I'd call both of those things advertising. Just not traditional advertising. I would certainly agree that Apple pretty much just has to say "hey there's a new one out now" and that's about it.

So.. in theory, a guy loosing an iphone prototype in a bar and a gizmodo reviewing it and police arresting him (forgot what happened) falls under :
Rely on the media to create buzz for its products through positive reviews. Product placement in TV shows and movies. Right ? :P |
