Intel, Apple praised for clean mineral efforts.

DAKAR, Senegal -- Apple, Hewlett-Packard and Intel have become "pioneers of progress" through their efforts to avoid purchasing minerals that fund armed groups in Central Africa, an advocacy group said Thursday.

The Enough Project ranked companies based on the steps they have taken to make sure their mobile phones, iPads and other gadgets aren't paying for the weapons used to terrorize Congolese civilians.

Well that's something at least.

Apple and others still have some ways to go to eradicate child labour in their factories who produce the iPads & iPhones and other such products.

As if anyones going to raise a stink big enough or boycott apple products for that to change.... people are too darn selfish over their devices and dont give a hoot-n-nany over where they come from as long as they get them.

I really hope you are cellphone-less, the hypocrite is strong with this one. All of that computer hardware is also just for show, because you are boycotting computer manufactures in general right?

I know some things arent going to change, its a shame and yes i do have a cell phone(non-apple), but who isnt going to own one nowadays... i was just giving crapple a hard time, umm, you dont happen to own a iphone do you, that explains the butthurt?
