I don't know what type of compressor is in a "office" water-cooler, but it'be interesting experiment. As far as I know the master of phase-change is Bowman from Extremesys forums. He's built NB, and GPU blocks off his own phase-change systems. He works in HVAC, so he has unlimited parts. Here's where you can find all sorts of articles on his modding eveything; http://www.phase-change.com/

Why not use it to water-cool your system! Just get plumbers adapters to 1/2" fittings, and tubing, and treat the water-cooler as the reservoir/radiator?

It's not very strong... It's meant to chill a small amount of water, and the compressor is designed for cycling, not constant use.
